In this video, I'm going to cover intermittent fasting and Healthy Keto® diet basics. If you have friends or family members wondering how to start the keto diet as well, don't forget to point them to this video too!  What is the ketogenic diet or ketosis?  • Ketosis means you're in a state of fat-burning. • When you get into ketosis and fat-burning, the fat breaks down into what are called ketones. The body can use ketones as an alternative fuel source. This is a much better fuel source than sugar fuel.   • The Healthy Keto diet is a version of the regular ketogenic diet based on a principle where you have to "get healthy first, then lose the weight." "Get healthy" refers to eating healthy, high-quality foods that provide all of the nutrients your body needs.  What is intermittent fasting?  • Intermittent fasting is a pattern of eating and not eating. Instead of doing 3 to 6 meals a day plus snacking, you're eating less frequently. This is important because every time you eat, you raise a hormone called insulin. Too much insulin is very dangerous for the body. With the Healthy Keto diet and intermittent fasting, we're reducing the excess insulin.  How to lower insulin?  • Consume fewer carbohydrates (sugar, refined carbs, grains, pasta, cereal, biscuits, waffles, juice, alcohol, etc.) • Eat less frequently  Symptoms of high insulin: • Belly fat  • High blood pressure  • High cholesterol  • Fatigue (especially after eating) • Decreased cognitive function (lack of focus, poor memory)  • Moodiness (irritable, depressed, grouchy) • Cravings • You're hungry all of the time (especially in-between meals) Benefits of the Healthy Keto diet and intermittent fasting: • Weight loss  • Reduced inflammation  • Supports cognitive function  • Supports mood • Making the body function better   Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:  Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Science-Backed Weight Loss Secret Everyone's Talking About

When it comes to weight loss, there are many fad diets and quick fixes that promise miraculous results but often fail to deliver. The truth is that losing weight effectively requires a combination of understanding the underlying science behind effective weight loss strategies, debunking common myths, and incorporating sustainable lifestyle changes.

The Top Keto Supplements for Women: Unlocking Female Fat Loss

Recent studies have highlighted the benefits of combining keto with other natural ingredients like ACV gummies to boost fat burning and appetite control. For women in particular, this powerful combination can be a game-changer when it comes to achieving their weight loss goals. The key is to understand how these supplements work together: ketones, generated by following a high-fat diet, provide an instant source of energy for the brain while ACV gummies help regulate appetite and metabolism.

Beyond Calorie Counting: How Sleep Impacts Weight Loss

A good night's sleep is essential for overall health but has also been shown to play a critical role in weight loss. Lack of quality sleep can disrupt hormones that control hunger, leading to increased cravings and poor food choices. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) recommends 7-9 hours of sleep per night as the ideal amount for optimal metabolic function.

The Role of Hydration in Weight Loss: Why It Matters

Hydration is a crucial aspect of weight loss often overlooked by those on diets. Water not only helps regulate appetite and boost metabolism but also aids in detoxification, flushing out toxins that can slow down weight loss progress. Aim to drink at least 8 cups (64 ounces) of water per day.

Busting Weight Loss Myths: What the Experts Say

Many common misconceptions about weight loss are spread far and wide through media outlets and online communities, often causing people unnecessary stress or frustration with their own dieting journeys. One such myth is that calorie restriction leads to successful weight loss; however, studies have consistently shown otherwise.

Maximizing Results: How a Balanced Diet Supports Weight Loss

The most effective approach to sustainable weight loss involves adopting balanced habits rather than quick fixes or drastic changes. For example, incorporating more plant-based meals can support healthy appetite regulation and satiety levels while reducing overall calorie intake without sacrificing satisfaction. Aim for an average of 5-6 servings daily.

Finding Success: Tips on Staying Motivated During Weight Loss Journey

One major hurdle many face when trying to lose weight is maintaining motivation throughout their journey. Developing realistic goals, finding a support system, and celebrating small victories can help build the resilience needed to keep pushing forward through challenges along the way.

By incorporating these simple yet effective tips into your lifestyle, you'll be better equipped with the tools necessary for achieving long-term success in reaching your desired weight while maintaining overall health.

Staying on Track: Tips on Maintaining Motivation During Weight Loss Journey

In addition to tracking progress visually or through numbers, finding meaning behind why we're working towards a particular goal can significantly boost motivation. This could be anything from wanting more energy to simply enjoying new recipes together with friends and family – it truly depends on what drives you.

Breaking Through the Plateau: How Exercise Adjustments Can Help

Sometimes weight loss progress seems stuck; when this occurs, people may find themselves adjusting different components of their plan or experimenting entirely anew. To break through such plateaus most effectively, adjustments in physical activity level often play a vital role – whether that's trying new exercises at home, signing up for local sports clubs or events.
